Archanaa B Sehgal, a university professor (GGSIPU, Delhi) with an experience of teaching literature & language for 27+ years at national / international level, is a writer since early childhood. Narrating stories & lyrics (songs) has been a passion that went along side teaching. Her dynamic upbringing in various countries introduced her to several cultures & languages viz.Hindi, Urdu, Arabic, Persian, Punjabi, Sairyaki & English.

Following her passion full throttle, the YouTube Channel: Awaaz-e-archana was initiated in 2018. Telling stories, writing screenplays and creating songs with contemporary lyrics is something she promoted through this platform. Though, she is a writer with diverse capacity, yet Romance, Emotional Drama & Comedy happen to be her forte. Same applies for poetry, where Romantic and Sufi lyrics are her favorite choices to write. Amir Khusrau, Bulle Shah, Baba Farid, Shiv Batalvi & recent poets like Sahir, Majrooh, Kaifi, Gulzar, Javed Akhtar are her go-to poets for inspiration.

She is an active SWA member, all her writings/lyrics are appealing to the masses. All her stories & screen plays are contemporary & interesting besides written in a format that can be converted into full-length movies or OTT Webisodes at the same time (whatever the need be). Being a lyricist is an added advantage, as all her stories have songs at desired places. “Chicken Biryani 2”, a short film written by her for “Devansh Telefilms” was her very first venture that got applauded and selected at many National/International Film Festivals. All her podcasts and songs are equally appreciated by an organic fan following on her social handles.
